We love our noisy but sweet little cat, and, as this picture illustrates, she loves playing hide n' seek. She is like a rooster and comes to whine at the bedroom door every morning promptly at 6 a.m. I have a squirt bottle and try to convince her that it's not worthwile to wake me up, but she must have heard the parable of the persistent widow because she cannot be deterred and eventually gets exactly what she wants - food, of course.

sounds like your kitty is preparing you for the days when yall have a newborn baby.... they, too tend to whine persistently until they receive exactly what they want.... their food... and my experience is that they dont respond too well to being sprayed in the face with a squirt bottle! :-)
