We celebrated our 4th anniversary last week, and I was able to take my summer vacation to coincide with that. We had a water park day, and then we spent most of our time in the park that contains the zoo and several museums. It was such a pretty place. Photos don't really do it justice. We also had the joy of testing our marriage as we drove into St. Louis with the gas light on, no air conditioning (it decided to quit an hour or so into our trip), and gridlocked traffic. We just knew we were going to end up spending the first day walking along the highway to a gas station, etc., but God was gracious to us and did not test us beyond what we could endure, and we found a gas station just in time. However, we found out that the route we intended to take was diverted, so we had another test involving my stellar map reading abilities and Ryan's patience. All I can say about that test is that at least we're still married. :) We ended up having lots of fun, and I'm thankful for the getaway. I was made for laziness!
Here is some one else who was made for laziness. When we got home, Cordelia was so excited that she burst into a spontaneous fit of bathing. She's obviously very attached to us.

Hope you have a happy weekend ahead of you! I'll spend mine cleaning, going to the farmers' market, and trying to recover from my rigorous 3-day work week. Thank God for summer time!
